Visibility: The overlooked ubiquitous aspect of revenue management
Bart-Jan Leyts, Loreca

Bart-Jan Leyts, the young CEO of Loreca, knows the importance of visibility in the revenue strategy of hotels. Loreca, a Belgian start-up, is at the forefront of this innovative approach to revenue management. The truth is, visibility is key to success in the hotel industry, and yet, it's a topic that's often overlooked. A recent study by Expedia found that 75% of all OTA bookings come from the top 7 search results. Following this Loreca built an algorithm that maximizes the visibility. This algorithm is seen to be key in a well-structured revenue structure.

Loreca's research has revealed that visibility has a significant impact on pick-up rates and can create a "billboard effect," driving more direct bookings to your hotel. With high visibility on OTAs, a property is more likely to be seen by a larger audience, leading to increased bookings and revenue.

In short, visibility-centered revenue management is the way of the future. Don't be left behind, embrace the power of visibility and watch your hotel's success soar.

Analytics built for the real world
Franziska Schemmann, Duetto

Good data, is usable data, usable data that you can trust. In a stable world, complexity might make sense. But in the real world, in today’s world, Real-time analytics that ingest market data as it happens, is the goal.

Data analysis should come from a variety of sources to ensure that published rates are taking into account all of the data available to us: Forward-looking data, comp price data, market data, historical data, live booking and reservation data, etc.

Combining those data sources with market-leading analytics gives hoteliers a data approach that works to drive revenue.

Building the Future of Revenue Management with AI and Big Data Insights
Ivan Abakumov, HQ revenue

We will discuss the benefits of integrating AI principles into every step of HQ Revenue's rate shopping.

With the help of AI tools such as natural language processing, statistics, and forecasting, we ensure the quality of web-scraped data, recognize rate attributes from rate descriptions, and compare rates across different channels and languages. By aggregating data on different levels, we can create market demand and track unusual patterns in our customers' rates, PMS data, and market demand.

Through this approach, HQ revenue provides customers with valuable insights that help them make data-driven decisions and optimize their revenue strategy.

Join us to learn more about the power of AI in revenue management and how it can help you build a more profitable business.

14:30 – 14:55
Total Revenue Management: The Future
Anders Johansson, Demand Calendar

The move to total revenue management involves a shift from a short-term focus to a more strategic long-term view.

The current challenge for most hoteliers:  Total revenue management is complex and the Revenue Manager spends too much time pulling large amounts of data from multiple systems and multiple properties and organizing it into a more useful format such as Excel spreadsheets.

The revenue manager needs more time to analyze data for one property, clusters of properties and/or all properties in order to manage demand and profitability for all revenue streams.  With more time, the Revenue Manager can focus on data insights in order to build a total revenue strategy, along with the Commercial team, and can be proactive vs. reactive in maximizing immediate and long-term total revenue and profit.

The solution: One S.M.A.R.T (sales, marketing and revenue technology) system that provides all the data needed for the commercial team to work together to increase the bottom line.

Intelligence - Unlocking human potential in Revenue Management?
Fabian Bartnick, Infinitio Revenue Solutions

It seems every little thing on the planet is against us: AI takes our jobs, Companies laying off people, Automation will get the better of us, Noone wants to work in hospitality, the younger generations want online jobs, not real life jobs, etc…..and so it continues. Are we doomed in RM?

No we are not. The future is human lead, not AI lead. The future of intelligence is not about replacing human beings with artificial intelligence, but about enhancing human potential in the optimization cycle. The goal is to create a symbiosis and an individual, capable of unlocking their full potential that creates a better revenue performance for the businesses they work for and better lives and careers for themselves.

In this session we are going to cover what makes you stand out, how you can use your own “algorithm” to drive performance and above all: Being the one using AI to outperform, not to be outperformed. We look at how you can easily become a better version of yourself and unlock your potential for maximum performance.

Why you have to adapt your Revenue Management Strategy to different hotel segments
Martin Maneschg, RateBoard

Why you have to adapt your Revenue Management Strategy to different hotel segments?

Successful hotel revenue management requires the differentiation between types of guests, such as corporate and leisure guests. Hence, leisure and city hotels as well as hotel chains require different approaches to tackle their individual challenges and to optimize their revenue management strategy. Very often there is no clear line between segments or there are many different segments that need to be catered to. Additionally, the shift from corporate towards more leisure tourism during and after the pandemic requires adjustments to the pricing strategy. An efficient Revenue Management System understands the various requirements to reach the maximum revenue with a minimum of effort.

What an experienced Revenue Manager should know nowadays
Annemarie Gubanski, Taktikon

The Revenue Management role has changed dramatically over the years and has moved closer to the other commercial departments where Digital Marketing and Distribution no longer are two separate definitions and Revenue Managers have to have Digital Marketing skills. With the move from Revenue Management to Profit Management, Revenue Managers also are moving closer to the operational department, such as F&B. How can we align all these departments and how do we tackle the challenge of getting the right data?

Position yourselves!
Stephan Kohl, HQ revenue

How do hotels get in the lead, extend the lead, hold their position? There are loads of aspects to this question, from branding to pricing. While we focus on the pricing part, we can't neglect the factors that lead there. Stephan Kohl is a seasoned revenue management expert – in his talk he will demonstrate how hoteliers can determine their market position, and how they can leverage the data based insights about their relative position in the comp set to draw conclusions for the next steps in the positioning journey, that is: for taking, and maintaining the lead.

HQ Revenue im besonderen Kontext positionierungsstarker, familiengeführter Hotelbetriebe
Hannes Gasser, Brandnamic
